Amandajean Kinney
Clinical Herbalist | Certified Integrative Trauma Coach & Somatic Practitioner | Birth Doula
Philosophy & Approach
As a clinical community herbalist, my mission is to create a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore the harmonious relationship between plants and people. I believe that herbal medicine is a complementary practice—not a replacement for Western medicine—offering a path for individuals to restore vitality in a self-directed, accessible, and empowering way.
With a vitalist approach, I view the body as a dynamic system of interconnected parts working synergistically toward alignment and balance. My work integrates the wisdom of plant medicine, somatic healing, and nutrition to cultivate resilience, healing, and vitality.
I have pursued specialized training in somatic-based, trauma-informed care, which has equipped me to sensitively support individuals who may have experienced trauma. My compassionate and empathetic nature, coupled with excellent communication skills, allows me to create a safe and empowering space that honors each person's unique needs and experiences.
As a certified Integrative Trauma Coach through the Aura Institute and a trained Birth Doula from Bastyr University's Simkin Center, I bring a multifaceted perspective to my work. I combine these modalities with my expertise as a Clinical Herbalist to provide holistic, trauma-informed care that nurtures both physical and emotional well-being.
My Offerings:
Trauma coaching and somatic healing sessions to address emotional resilience and body awareness
Herbal consultations tailored to individual needs, using plant-based remedies to support health and wellness
Pregnancy and postpartum support, including childbirth preparation, hands-on comfort measures, and lactation guidance
Whether I am guiding you through emotional healing, providing herbal solutions, or supporting you during childbirth, my work is rooted in care, empowerment, and holistic health.
Together, we can create a path for you to heal, grow, and thrive—body, mind, and spirit.
I currently reside just North of Seattle — land inhabited traditionally by Saquamish, Duwamish and Coast Salish tribes.
